Production Heroes helps companies take their products from idea to series production. We do that with a small, entrepreneurial team and an international network of suppliers and production partners.

Right now we are building something new: a service that guides mould making and injection moulding projects in Asia for European manufacturers. Many companies run into the same problems there: delays, poor communication and inconsistent quality. Together with an experienced partner on the ground, we want to fix that for good. Our own projects are the pilot, and after that we want to bring the service to the wider market.

For that we are looking for an intern who does not just think along, but actually helps build the business side.

What you will do

You help set up the new service and build the case for it, and you work on the supply chain of running projects. Think of:

  • Business case: thinking through the revenue model, the costs, the margins and the feasibility of the service.
  • Market research: finding out which European manufacturers have this need, what their pain points are and who the competitors are.
  • Supply chain and processes: mapping the tooling process from request to first production, including supplier selection, planning and quality assurance.
  • Proposition and communication: helping decide how we position the service, and working on the first communication materials, such as a presentation, website content or a one-pager.
  • Project support: working on running projects, for example by requesting and comparing quotations, keeping track of the planning and communicating with suppliers.

What you get in return

  • You work directly with the founders.
  • You get a lot of responsibility and see up close how a new business is set up.
  • You learn how product development and manufacturing work in practice.

Who we are looking for

  • You study Industrial Engineering and Management or something similar.
  • You have technical insight and an affinity with manufacturing, ideally with plastics and injection moulding.
  • You think like an entrepreneur and enjoy figuring things out and setting them up yourself.
  • You communicate well in Dutch and in English.
  • An interest in international collaboration, especially with Asia, is a plus.

Practical details

  • Type of internship: work placement
  • Location: Breda
  • Start date and duration: by agreement, preferably from February 2027 and for at least 5 months
  • Internship allowance: 400 euros per month, based on a full-time internship of 40 hours a week
