Higo is a telemedicine device which can be used for self-diagnosis at home for a lot of the most common illnesses.
Higo Sense is a telemedicine device which can be used for self-diagnosis at home for many of the most common illnesses. For Higo, Production Heroes arranges the manufacturing of all hardware components except the electronics and assembly.
In total 13 molds were opened to realize this device to be manufactured. Most components are manufactured in certified biocompatible plastics (Novodur) to comply with regulations.
Besides the injection molding product parts, Production Heroes arranges several milled parts, a thermoshaped case and crystal clear lightguides — all contributing to a premium medical-grade device that patients can trust.
The Challenge
Huge amount of parts which neatly need to fit together for a premium device. With 13 separate molds and multiple manufacturing processes, precision and consistency are critical.
Our Solution
Extensive detailing in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) procedures to enable perfect fits for all components and thus swift assembly times at the client. Every tolerance was carefully specified to ensure reliable device performance.
The Result
A fully manufactured, medical-grade telemedicine device with 13 precision-molded components, certified biocompatible materials, and assembly-ready parts delivered to the client.
