Turning a concept sketch into something built to survive a job site
WattSun's stackable battery concept started as a 2015 sketch. Together with WattSun and ManGo Product Design, we turned it into a rugged, manufacturable product line. Here's what that involved:
- Modular and stackable: from the 3,000W Stack (expandable to 11kWh) to the 15kWh Ventus
- Solar-compatible: generate, store, and use energy directly on site
- Built for the field: wheels and a lifting point, so it's easy to load, move, and lift on-site
The components Production Heroes manufactured:
Production Heroes manufactured these components precisely: the LED-Bar Screen and Grid for power and status display, the Dock LCD Screen built into the unit, the Clamping Block that holds the screen in place, and the Rooster ventilation grille, executing the molding and assembly with enough accuracy to hit the enclosure's IP rating without compromising the airflow paths the design called for. All produced in Europe.
